Sherwin Williams:

Colors of Savannah

Project

IDENTITY

COLOR THEORY

LAYOUT DESIGN

The world-renown paint company, Sherwin Williams, is looking to expand their historic city inspired color palettes. The deliverable is a brochure featuring a cohesive 15-color color palette that brings the beauty of Savannah, GA into peoples homes.

Different colors evoke different emotions and atmospheres. For instance, blues and greens can create a calming and serene environment, while reds and yellows can add warmth and energy.

Homeowners are able to infuse their personal style and preferences into their homes through paint. A well-chosen color palette ensures that all the elements in a space work together harmoniously.

The concept is to stick to a similar visual identity to their current designer brochures, but bring a unique Savannah twist, and infuse the different aesthetics and beauties of the city.

The theme of this palette is the “roots” of Savannah; essentially the foundings, that if were removed, Savannah would not be the city that it is. It’s a relatively neutral and earth-toned, keeping with the title of the palette.

The concept is to stick to a similar visual identity to their current designer brochures, but bring a unique Savannah twist, and infuse the different aesthetics and beauties of the city.

To make the brochure more unique and bring some aspects of the art culture prevalent in Savannah, illustrations are scattered throughout the brochure, as well as some sketch-like lines on top of some of the real-space examples.

*This project was originally a SCADpro x Sherwin Williams collaboration that was publicly released. However, this is my own person rendition of the project. The illustrations are based off of fellow graduate Elaine Li, with permission.
