Hey there! I’m Shayla Butler and I have a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. I also have a completed minor in Advertising & Branding. I’m a passionate artist who brings a unique blend of creativity and precision to every project I touch. I call myself an artist rather than a designer because of my range in creativity. I enjoy illustrating, painting, printmaking, some sculpting and photography and strive to incorporate that into my graphic design as much as possible.
I want my work to reflect timeless elegance, whether it be the content I’m creating or the way it is presented. Paying attention to minute details, alignment, layout, color combinations and other things people may overlook is one of my specialties; I believe that what one may consider to be something insignificant can make or break the design.
Making meaningful connections and new friendships is something that I enjoy doing. I also have a passion for reading, and my to-be-read list grows by the day (I have about 10 books I haven’t read yet). I don’t necessarily have a favorite color, but if I had to choose I would say black, as it goes with almost any other color. I have a french bulldog, who we’ve nicknamed Scrappy Doo (he loves to pick play-fights with our larger dog).
